What to Expect

Before Your Session

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 5–7 days prior to reduce bruising risk. Refrain from alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment. Disclose all current medications to your provider. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup and topical products. Your provider will discuss your aesthetic goals and map out injection sites.

During Treatment

Topical numbing cream is applied and allowed to take effect before injections begin. Your provider uses a fine needle or flexible cannula to deliver the filler with precision. The Revanesse Viva formulation contains lidocaine, so you'll feel initial pressure that quickly softens as the anesthetic takes effect. The full treatment is typically completed in 30–45 minutes.

After Your Session

Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur in the 1–7 days following treatment — this is normal and resolves on its own. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours and heat treatments or saunas for 48 hours. Do not massage the treated areas. Your results are visible immediately and will settle to their final appearance within 1–2 weeks as any initial swelling subsides.
